Your tongue could swell and you might not be able to breathe..
A wasp/bee sting above the shoulders is an emergency..

If you are you I hope you are on the way to the emergency room about now.
Here's some sympathy from a guy who just had a motorcycle spill and is feeling a bit unloved.

As someone else said, wasp stings in the neck area can become swollen even if you are not allergic. They're a pretty serious thing.
As for my spill, I was doing about 30 - 35 on city street with a tight bend and I must have crossed the oily center patch or something. Next thing I know I'm on my ass watching my bike slide into the curb. I posted a thread in the Lounge, but no one loves me, so it has scrolled.
I will admit, however, that a wasp sting to the tongue is somewhat a novelty which might attract more posts than my boring motorcycle story.

I took a drink from a can of Dr. Pepper and washed a yellowjacket right into my mouth. It stung my tongue AND my lip before I got it out. Hurt like hell, but there was no swelling.
