| Today is my son's 28th birthday |
|
If he had not been killed November 10, 1998 perhaps he would have been celebrating marriage, a new job, a new baby, something, anything. Now his birthdays only mean one more year under my belt of missing him. I'm just so sad today and the tears won't stop.

Your post made me cry too. I have a 5 year old son that I truly love more than my life. I could not image a world where I out live him.

| 9. You are your sons eyes |
|
Your happiness is his happiness and your sorrow is his sorrow. He came from you, so let him see the world. I read these sentiments in a book called The Size of the World, about a guy who traveled around the world by land, and in the far east asked a monk to explain his brother's death. Although I have never lost anyone as close as a son, I have lost some good friends to AIDS. I found the idea of being someone's eyes quite comforting.
