Can you believe these fricking freepers? Didn't they know that part of the deal when Bush invaded their country was that they would be part of his re-election bid?

I HATE the freeper logic that because they don't have to put up with Saddam Hussein and his evils that they can't complain and disagree with things.


It's the same thing about the torture scandal. Just because Saddam's torture chambers were worse than ours, that makes ours okay for some reason.

2. I saw a "60 Minutes" story in which an innocent Iraqi,

who finally managed to escape to Sweden from Saddam's regime, but returned when the Americans declared victory, said that his time in Abu Ghraib, under U.S. supervision, reminded him exactly of his time spent there under Saddam. Made my blood run cold. He is now in the U.S., petitioning the government for the return of his car and money that were taken from him when he was sent back to prison. He was never charged with anything and was eventually released.:-(

My Freeper mother is the same. When I was cringing at the torture photos being shown on the news, she said "good!" Makes no sense to me. I thought that the point was to change hearts and minds in Iraq. It never would have happened, and certainly won't, especially after all this.:-(

6. I have no idea. In his march to war, I had a constant stomach-ache,

imagining the WMDs being unleashed at our brave troops. Turns out that there were none, but the situation is no better. Nearly 1000 brave Americans are dead and more than 10,000 Iraqis, so many of them children. And for what?! I remember a post on DU just before "shock and awe" was launched. It was of a small Iraqi boy, of about five or six, pushing a lighted candle out into the water, as part of a candlelight vigil, hoping for peace. I attended one in my small town, at just about the same time. When Bush* launched his war, I thought of that little boy. Was he frightened? Was he killed? I will never know, but the thought still chokes me up to this day. You are surely right.;(

Instead of worrying about Uday they can look forward to being either killed in a terrorist attack in Iraq, or becoming collateral damage in a US military raid or being summarily rounded up and sent to Abu Grahib for no reason where they will be butt-raped by redneck, trailer park trash.
