| Poll question: The perils of Sunday AM television... |
|
Edited on Sun Aug-22-04 08:30 AM by HypnoToad
So which is worse?
Cartoons: These Sunday AM cartoons are devoid of soul, wit, and intelligence. 'nuff said. I'll buy the Looney Tunes collection instead... it's almost at a reasonable price now, for $49...
Church TV: All the evangelical nitwits come out on Sunday morning. Shouldn't we be in church instead listening to the preacher denounce homosexuality and tell us how to support the FMA in typical ignorant fashion?
Political TV: All the repukes come out to blather. Yawn.
I'm grateful for DVD and VHS. O8)

| 2. I sometimes like church TV |
|
Not for the freeper content, but for the music. I'm a big ol' church queen and can't escape it--it's in my blood.
I used to have a teeny-tiny TV/clock radio on my nightstand. Late at night I'd lie in bed with it on my chest with the volume turned down, sometimes watching those shows. Instead of an alarm, it would turn on the TV or radio, and if I left it tuned to those channels, I would sometimes wake up to find evangelists on my night stand, which can be quite disorienting, let me tell you!

| 5. I'm watching TCM. Errol Flynn all morning. |
|
Right now it's "The Santa Fe Trail". The *heroes* are Flynn as J.E.B. Stewart, and Ronald Reagan as George Custer against the evil abolitionists in Kansas - including Raymond Massey as an insane John Brown.
