I don't know my self, but I always get an image of some insincere, fake dipshit.

| 6. Actually, I visualize a guy in one of those 1930's football uniforms |
|
With a dippy leather helmet and a ball tucked under his elbow and a silly Dick Powell grin.
(Hey, so I've got a retro imagination. Not my fault.)

I would like to believe that it is or was one who truly believe(s)(d) in our country and would back it up to no avail. But seeing as this country this government is not living up to being believed in I guess there’s no since in even trying to be all American.
Because now days it obviously means to go into other people’s lives and try to make them live the lives they think they should live. Without even knowing or understanding what makes them live the way they do.
This is just my humble opinion.
I still believe in this country just not in the governing bodies running it.

(and I'm an American, mind you)
someone who lives in a suburb filled with essentially identical houses, occupied by essentially identical people who work the same sorts of jobs, drive the same cars, plan to send their children to the same schools, and mostly think the same thoughts. Someone who thinks happiness is measured by the size of one's bank account and the shininess of one's toys. Someone who happens to be mildly xenophobic, utterly disinterested in or else actively hostile to the world outside the borders of the US. The smug, self-centred, stupid product of a failed society and a broken culture. It's a shame that my perception of the term has come to this...I may be somewhat prejudiced in my views, I admit, but I don't think I'm entirely wrong, either.
