People who hate the Cowboys - did you hate 'em under Landry, too?

I'm curious if people have been hating Dallas only since Landry left and they became a bunch of coke-snorting dickweeds, or if you've always felt the Cowboys were a bunch of obnoxious monkey spawn.

Cuz you gotta admit, Landry was a hell of a coach and had a hell of a good team.

7. Growing up in Cowboy country

As a Steeler fan in the 1970s, it was pure hell. I got into more than a couple of school yard fights with the kids on my block who were all sheeple Cowboy fans. Everybody in my state is a 'Boys fan (their term, not mine).

When I got interested in the NFL again 12 years ago I adopted a 1-15 team -- the NE Patriots. It's been a helluva ride ever since. People I know are actually get offended I don't root for the Pokies.

I can understand why they were so hated though, along with their fans. I think most of them are obnoxious too. My admiration for them is strictly from a football sense. The Landry coached team revolutionized the game in many aspects. Along with the Steelers, Raiders, and Dolphins teams, they defined the greatest era in pro football history (in my humble opinion) - the 1970's. :)

24. I started watching them in the 60's with my Dad, fond memories.

They had the stars on their shoulders and got their asses kicked all the time. After losing Dad to a car wreck, those Sundays are very sweet to think of.

I will always be a Cowboys fan, although it has been difficult since that razorback carpetbagger clown bought them.

If you don't like them, fuck ya, I don't like your team.

there was some sort of "Nazi" look about him and that fedora he always seemed to wear was so out of place on a football field. Landry could have been the nicest person in the world, but he had that aryan look, like the bad guy in the second Terminator movie. Gives me the shivers.

about the Cowboys until the "America's Team" crap started getting into everything about them.

I saw that as completely arrogant, and as long as they continue to be referred to as such, I hope they lose every game.

Same reason I started disliking the Braves.

There are lots of teams in this country and none of them represent the whole country or should presume to.
