30. Herman's Head bought my skis

I sold some Hexcel skis on consignment years and years ago. They were "Hexcelerators" but I had thrashed them and they had a rivet in one tip where they had delaminated. I was shocked when they told the skis had sold -- then they told me that it was the prop master from Herman's Head that bought them. So my skis were judged comedy worthy.

Never saw the episode though.

I was in first grade when it had its run & it seriously creeped me out... or maybe Rod Serling's Night Gallery, which IMO was often just as brilliant as the original Twilight Zone but never seemed to have the same following. I haven't seen any episodes since the original run but I still remember many of them vividly - like John Astin as a dirty hippie dying & ending up in hell. Or the elderly woman with an amazing green thumb who plants her severed fingers before being murdered by an evil boarder...

Or most of all -- a British sitcom from the early 80s which is defying all of my attempts to research it -- it's about a retired right-wing Army Major who starts his own militia with the aim of overthrowing the British government. A brilliant satire of right-wingers in general. Best writing EVER of ANY television show I've ever seen...and I can't remember the title. Damn aging brain cells...

One of my all-time favorites. Was on for one season (1963 I think). A Jay Ward production (think Rocky and Bullwinkle), they put hilarious sound tracks to public-domain silent films.

Anyway, they voted "On The Air" the worst show of all time. Even worse than "Brady Bunch Variety Hour", "My Mother the Car" or "Pink Lady and Jeff".

It was like a combination of The Waltons and Eight is Enough taking place in

I don't remember very much about it. I think it was college-level lectures, and I was only about 5-y-o. that would have put it around 1961 or therebouts.

They did a series on (I THINK) anatomy, and had a skeleton on the set. My brother swore it moved its head and clacked its jaw...I didn't see it.

They gave us snacks too. My friend quietly complimented Kyle Chandler's ass while he was signing an autograph against the wall, and he heard her. Good times, good times.

I also feel a need to mention Due South, which was about mounties. That show rocked.
