A glimmer of hope....
In talking with a colleague this evening about family friction, I mentioned that my brother and sisters' politics were quite the opposite of mine.

She replied that at this stage of the game, she couldn't imagine how that could make a difference. She said that even though she was a conservative, she couldn't view a vote for * as an intelligent choice; and couldn't imagine that other conservatives would either.

I hope there's truth in her belief...
