Looks like the Cubs are done for the season, the crummy cool summer is over and we just have winter to look forward to and well, things aren't looking real good for November.
All my hopes and dreams rest on the debates. If we can crush the little SOB - it could be a whole new ballgame (but the Cubs are still sunk!)

| 5. I am glad for you! I really like Nomah as a ballplayer, but he needed... |

a change of scenery to keep him energized. I am glad he is a Cub - my dream is a Sox/Cubs series.....hang in there! I've been suffering since 1967....not sure that this year will end the drought. Damn Yanks!

as a lifelong cubs fan, I can tell you that we'll choke and this is the year the other cursed team feels the scourge that is the Cardinals. You too shall learn to loathe red and white. You too will cheer when your cats eat the state bird of Virginia.

The Tribune company has finally realized that they can make more money by putting a GOOD team out that makes the playoffs, draws large TV audiences, maybe even some schnooks who but perephrenalia, then has them choke in the playoffs. That way, we come back for more the next year!

Aren't they still leading for the wild card? Isn't Sosa due to get hot? Aren't the Astros due to cool off? Cheer up, there's still over three weeks to go. Kerry, on the other hand, is toast.(Kidding, sort of...)
