as a Republican!!!!! I'm in Chicago, and have voted for R's before, but have converted. Should I take the opportunity (it pays $150) or blow it off?

I have been both an election judge, and an election judge supervisor. The 2000 election was a mess (and I live in Missouri where things were not so questioned). The day started with "mis-numbered" ballots. Tons of persons showed up that were not on the rolls we had, the phone lines did not work. You could use your personal cell phone, but you still could not get through so all you could do was send them away. When all was said and done I still had to go to Jefferson City and give a statement on what in the Hell happened to a Repug administrator, with the possibility of facing criminal charges, because the whole election was a fucking disaster in the precinct I was assigned too.
