Anyone have experience with these things? How long does it take to get the results?

I was beginning to think that being a DU member was protective against DM.

I missed something here. I have a HMO ("No, DAMMIT! it's 'Managed CARE'!!!") that actually pays 100% of labs, so I'm not aware of the home tests, since there's no advantage to using them.

My provider goes ape if I'm > 6.5. This test could give me a heads-up before I go to him. He (& he is one) claims that diabetics are the sneakiest, most manipulative weasels on the planet. I think he's right altho I have yet to commit a felony for a cookie.
Stay well, brother!

I forgot that it had a name other than "Type 1" and "Type 2"..
I have type 2.
Sneaky Weasel? Moi? Naw, I don't try to sneak, I tell my doctor if I've been a bad boy. OK, I might understate the calories and overstate the bike milage, but just a LITTLE!

| 2. I've never tried them. IMHO, if you have insurance, |
|
you may as well go to the lab.
OTOH, it might be worth it if you don't.
Good places to get info: www.diabetesportal.com and www.childrenwithdiabetes.com (I know, but I get the best info from there!)
