| I'm MS Excel challenged--this should be easy, I think, but I can't |
|
figure it out. Concerning charts:
I have data that I want in the X-axis, but Excel puts it into the Y-axis.
Without changing the layout of my entire spreadsheet, is there a way to do this?
Thanks in advance!

| 1. Is it just a column of data? |
|
If so, do this:
1) Highlight the data you want to move and copy it. 2) Right click and select "Paste Special" 3) Select the "Transpose" option
That should do what you want.

| 2. Get your data into two columns. X axis data in the first column and Y axis |
|
data in the second column. Select the two columns, click Chart Wizard, and then (this is the piece you are missing I think) select "XY (Scatter)". Select the chart sub-type you want, and click finish.
