He went to Harvard AFTER his NG service (in fact, he was supposed to report to a Mass. NG unit upon his arrival in Cambridge, but failed to do so).

when you are national guard, you are not considered at any time to be IN the branch of the military the guard branch you are in is sponsoring.

That was butchered. Lemme try this again: it doesn't matter HOW you get your bootcamp. If you are Air National Guard you are not condsidered at ANY time to be a member of the US AIR FORCE.

Thus the statement in his campaign literature is a lie. I certainly don't think it's a biggie, as he could just blow it off, God knows, but it is very inaccurate.
