| I've had my car for 3 weeks; should I get a repair covered by insurance? |
|
I can't find a headlamp assembly for my car ANYWHERE.
Nor can auto stores order it, despite being able to order all the side light and tailgate assemblies.
So if I want the headlamp assembly replaced, I'll have to go to a pro shop.
It'd be a lot for them to do it, but my cost would go down to $250 if I used my insurance.
I also have 3 small dents, each of which could be removed by simple dent removal techniques.
Should I have the insurance company fix everything at once?
I'd be doing this repair only because I'd been told by many that clear tape is only a short-term solution and, for winter (Minnesota of course), moisture will kill the headlight, so I'm between a rock and a hard place.
I could also wait a few weeks (by October) and then call if I had to... but the part just can't be found.
Thanks!
