Jeeze, downs, you're writing to an obvious fictional character and paranoid that he might reply....seems like you're the one who needs to get a life...plus psychological help.

I have to admit, it took me months of reading DU to read Bob Boudelang, because I thought it would be a serious column and had no desire to read what conservatives had to say. I laughed pretty hard the first time I actually read his column.

Hilariously, there was a libertarian website (now defunct) that actually had singled out some "idea" of Bob's as a good one, and the writer amplified upon it.

And I do occasionally get a DUer who doesn't seem to get the joke...(they go unnamed).

The origin of Bob Boudelang was listening to right wing loonies flog the "Energy Policy" and listening to all the internal contradictions of folks arguing we had such a serious energy shortage that we needed to drop all environmental laws, so we could allow offroad vehicles into Yellowstone....and most of this rubbish was going on at Fox, which would warn us we would run out of gasoline any minute unless we drilled in the ANWR...after this word plugging NASCAR....

I was thinking "How dumb would you have to be to buy this crap?" and "Wa La!" as Bob likes to say...

You might recall when he went to San Francisco to cover the Super Bowl (it was in San Diego, but still...) he met a guy in a bar who wanted him to "meet the head of a big firm"...but Bob refuses to talk about what happened next.

clicked on DU link from Buzzflash, and Bob's column was on the front page. After reading Mr. Bench.. errrrrr Boudelang's rant, I was hooked! I always look forward to his op-ed pieces.
