Help me respond to this LTTE in my hometown paper. It's so full of BS and ignorance I have no idea where to begin.



Is John Kerry worth it?

I have lived in West Virginia all my life my family has hunted here for many years and now we may not be able to if John Kerry gets into office. The are so many people in West Virginia that back Bush 100 percent.
If John Kerry gets in office where will be our rights? ( Down the Drain ) he wants to take away so many of them and we the people need to stop him. If we don’t vote for George Bush I am afraid we will all be in big trouble with John Kerry.
We don’t need someone in office that will not help our country or our kids and grandkids.
John Kerry will take our guns and than we will not be able to hunt and teach our kids as our fathers taught us. John Kerry has lied so many times about George Bush just so people will vote for him.
Well, that isn’t right and if he lies now what will he do if he is in office? I belive that George Bush should stay in office and that he is doing what he can to help the people of the United States.
I have two teen- aged kids that I want them to have the rights that we have had . Look at the Bill of Rights. If Kerry gets in office that Bill of Rights as we know them are GONE!!! So I am asking you people: is John Kerry worth losing everything we have worked so hard for ???? NO he isn’t.

Ask the newspaper why they print lies, like "John Kerry will take our guns."

Well, considering that Republicans are supposedly for "less government", then how do you explain all the "Homeland Security"? How about:
1. The secret session at the RNC, exposed by NYT, where President Moron essentially guaranteed that he would legislate the bible, clearly violating the "Freedom of Religion" and "Separation of Church and State". President Moron intends to give "faith-based initiatives", ie funding, to WASP organizations.
2. Why has John Ashcroft supoenaed women's medical records? What ever happened to the right to privacy? Why does John Ashcroft care so much about my uterus?
3. Doesn't less government = less spending? How about that RECORD-BREAKING deficit! This means our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be paying this down.
4. What about "No child left behind"? Hasn't the number of children dumped into poverty doubled (and NOT from new births)?
5. How about all those jobs? (I speak from experience. Not too long after that BOZO took office, I lost mine, as did a bunch of my friends).
6. How about the lack of tech research, other than pharmaceuticals?
7. How about the whopping discount on prescription drugs offered to seniors? 10-15%? The government buys BULK for VA. Could do the same for the seniors... but NO. Bush has the pharma industry in his hip pocket. What are you going to do when you get old? Can't euthanize you, so...
