Today's Worst At-Home Business: Today's Nightmare Customer

Today I took a call from a woman who wanted to know the prices on all the chain-link fence components we sell. I gave them to her.

Then I started talking about concrete, which you need on a chain-link fence. "Oh no, no concrete." Huh?

"Yeah, we live in quarters on Fort Bragg and we're going to take the fence with us when we leave here."

'Why do you need the fence?'

"We're going to breed pit bulls in our back yard, and we need a fence to do it."

Three comments:

The Army Community Service office passes out a book of good at-home businesses you can run out of government quarters. Breeding pit bulls is NOT in there.

Fort Bragg's soil is sand with about an inch of topsoil on it. Assuming you can get the fence stretched without pulling the posts right out of the ground, one pit bull could knock this fence down in about a minute. Just imagine what fifteen or twenty of them working together could do.

When I lived in quarters, you were only authorized to keep two pets. How the hell can you breed pit bulls and keep only two pets?

are just about the worst type of freeper scum. I work in a pet shop and i see the misery of their "business" all the time.

She's in the military and is probably struggling to make ends meet. Pit Bull breeding is actually a good money making dog since there are plenty of folks out there that want pitbulls because of their nastiness. These dogs aren't breed for dog shows but for protection & nastiness.
