| Any Guess About How Much Matt Lauer's Salary Is? |
|
How many people would do what he does for that kind of money? Quite a few I imagine. How many people would walk away if they were handed the script written by GE and told to get out there and deliver. These people crave their positions of power and influence and would do anything to hang on to it. Look how pitiful Larry king has become so that he can stay on the air.

| 2. We need a liberal (more honest) version of Fox News. |
|
Then people could earn good salaries interviewing politicians without trying to help Bush.

| 4. If it's more than minimum wage it's too much. |

In fact, he should be paying them. He's worse than worthless. And it's totally creepy that he's gone all skinhead, though it fits.

| 5. Watched C-Span tonight with Walter Cronkite and NBC new guy |
|
For the love of Pete, I watched the show for over an hour and can't recall the other guy's name! He is taking over for Brokaw after the elections.
Both did an excellent job. Talked about news today, how some newscasters don't even try to maintain objectivity. They both were quite critical of Faux News without mentioning them by name. NBC guy (name still floating out there in the nether regions - somebody help me here!) talked about the "Blue Book" of standards written by CBS first news president. Said that everything that was written in the 50s is still apropos today and that it should be the standard for all news people. Actually gave me hope that there are media people out there who really care to get it right. If it is rerun again, try to catch it.
Matt Lauer is paid too much, has no journalistic integrity and from comments he made on the third interview with Kitty Kelley, got his comeuppance from the viewers. Received many more emails slamming his first two days with Kelley than ones which praised him. Funny to watch him tap dancing that last day. He practically was prostrate on the floor at Kitty's feet.
