Friday Four-Ball (Morning Matches)
8:10 Tiger Woods/Phil Mickelson vs. Colin Montgomerie/Padraig Harrington 8:25 Davis Love III/Chad Campbell vs. Darren Clarke/Miguel Angel Jimenez 8:40 Chris Riley/Stewart Cink vs. Paul McGinley/Luke Donald 8:55 David Toms/Jim Furyk vs. Sergio Garcia/Lee Westwood
My bets, as if anyone will listen/read, are:
Tiger/Phil will win : USA 1-0 Clarke/Jimenez will win : 1-1 (Love & Campbell are playing terrible) Riley/Cink vs. McGinley/Donald will be halved : 1 1/2 to 1 1/2 Toms/Furyk vs. Garcia/Westwood will be halved : 2 to 2
I'm predicting a tie after the morning four-ball matches...let's see how the captains set the matches for the afternoon.
More updates as they develop...

Lost the morning matches 3 1/2 to 1/2. Losing two this afternoon, winning one, tied in the other...

This has been the most dependably compelling sporting event of the last 15 years, always down to the last hour and usually the final match. I have no intention of watching football on Sunday until the nighty thriller of Dolphins/Bengals, so I suggest the USA make this semi-competitive going into singles.
What the hell was that on Thursday? The Europeans looked like they were putting into cups the size of manholes, especially Monty, per usual.
Nice drive by Mickelson on 18 with the afternoon match tied. He blew it 40 yards left of target up against the fence. The Europeans were able to win the hole with a damn bogey. Mickelson decided to change clubs after by far the best season of his career.
And how could Hal Sutton have ignored that Mickelson/David Toms pairing that went 3-1 last time. They have developed a rapport since the PGA that Toms won on the final hole, much closer than Mickelson and Tiger will ever be, or pretend to be.

Tiger/Phil???? You are so right...Put Tiger with Funk or Perry, guys who hit the ball straight...Phil & Toms are a good pair too, as you mentioned...
DiMarco was awesome today - he has to be in the mix...
My random thoughts....
