I listen to Heavier Things and the one that came out before that one a lot. And Norah Jones is great too...

I didn't know if I would like the whole thing, since I had only heard the 2 singles, but the whole CD is really good. I turned a coworker on to it too and she told me later that she got their acoustic CD and it's really good too.

And Green Day's American Idiot are the two best of my most recent purchases. I also enjoyed Sarah Hudson's Naked Truth, which is appealingly quirky like she is, and Skye Sweetnam's Noise From The Basement, which is more of a different take on Avril than an Avril copy.

I've heard two upcoming albums on full album listening parties: Hilary Duff's on MTV's The Leak and R.E.M.'s at Myspace.com. Hilary's is a big surprise - her vocals still aren't strong, but the music is much better. R.E.M.'s may not quite be an Automatic For The People, but it's their best since New Adventures In Hi-Fi! Great stuff. I'll probably buy both of these CDs and Bonnie McKee and Vanessa Carlton's upcoming CDs. And there are definitely more.
