To continue my trend of letting everybody know what I'm reading (because it's hella important) I just finished Weapons of Mass Deception (available at fine book stores everywhere, and Borders sometimes). It was really great, their analysis and evidence of how PR firms manage political events and the media mis-manages the news is excellent. My main complaint was the almost total lack of a conclusion. It ends with one, not even wrap up paragraph after a long quote then goes straight to the notes. It was kind of a big build up with less conclusion than I would have liked.
Just yesterday I got an interesting little book out of the Library called "We're Right, They're Wrong, A Handbook for Spirited Progressives" it's by James Carville and is from 1996. It's interesting and still oh so applicable. Problem is I just began Hobbes' Leviathan which is thicker than lead and I have to read it soon for school. Lousy school always getting in the way of my education.
