I wish I was smart enough to get a college degree. I'm just a working man and I'm afraid that's all I'll ever be. What I need is a partner. Especially one who knows how to cook.

Low fat lactose free milk to be exact. I'm lactose intolerant. Did you know that that special milk can be like $3 a half gallon? Outrageous!

having a great time with this:
1. Review chapter 5 in van den Berghe and discuss colonialism employing a political ecological analysis. Focus on and utilize key concepts you have learned this semester in your discussion of the historical processes of imperialist expansion and colonialism, as well as their consequences for both the colonizers and the colonized peoples. Is colonialism still happening? If so, how? What are the implications for ethnic and/or race relations and conflicts today? Cite some examples. Key concepts you should consider: state systems, resource appropriation and expropriation, Christian conversion vs. secular civilizing mission as rationalization, labor pool (indenture, serfdom and slavery), coercion, world systems theory, dependency theory, essentializing tribal “others” into ethnic groups and “races” and their marginalization as peasants, core/periphery relations, indirect vs. direct rule, hacienda system (feudalism and Catholicism) vs. transnational corporations (secularism), environmental racism and environmental justice and their role in modern ethnic conflicts.
it's fairly easy, but for some reason I can't get motivated tonight.
