Lutefisk is for wusses. Now it takes a real Swede to eat surströmming sill (fermented herring). As an Iraqi immigrant to Sweden once told me, "You take the can, which is distended and looks ready to explode, outside to the nearest storm sewer drain to open. If you open it in your sink you don't get rid of the smell for months." :D
