Cheney and Bush don't seem to be genuinely racist--instead I'd call it culturally myopic, or culturally xenophobic. They don't mind people being of other races; they don't buy the genetic superiority b.s.

But they won't associate with people of "lower class." They wouldn't be at east at black church picnic, nor at a mostly white swap meet, for that matter. They look down at people who are trashy, even while exploiting their prejudices and economic vulnerabilities to gain votes. I mean, even a racist has convictions--reprehensible tho they are. I don't see Bush or Cheney holding any personal convictions that could interfere with their pursuit of power.
