When my wife and I bought our house the first thing we did was rip out the brand new front lawn. We replaced it with stuff that didn't need artificial fertilizers, poisons, or extra water.

is in desperate need of repair. we bought the house in September and still haven't replaced pickets that were missing. they're laying on the ground by the fence. they have slowly slipped down on the long list of priorities.
