..I'm not BIG, just a fairly tall girl who is about 10-12 lbs overweight from baby. I also have a really big chest cavity that makes me have to by Large in everything. My hubby says I look just fine & really means it! :) BTW---former/soon to be again stripper!

She is as thin as a rail. Recently she has gained a few lbs. since having major surgery and she in her mid-40s now. I had not even noticed until she pointed it out to me. No one stays a size 4 forever it seems, not that I ever was anyway!

It seems when obviously thin women/people think they are "too fat" they just might have an eating disorder. I hope this is not your wife's problem.

My wife is 52, works out incessantly, wants a new nordic track for Christmas and has a very healthy appetite. Her mother and sisters are all skinny. She's a health freek but I wouldn't call it a disorder. She just frets about her butt. I've been happily married for more than 30 years even if she thinks she has a big backside.

It could be indicative of an eating disorder or BDD, but not necessarily. When we have gossip magazines out there making catty remarks about people like Renee Zellweger gaining and losing weight, or previously size 0 actresses who are now size 2 getting raked over the coals for "porking up", it's easy to get a negative message about one's size. The rags and tabloids are vicious against celebrities who are too thin, but then they mock those same women when they do put on weight! It's crazy, frustrating, and disheartening. It's no wonder some otherwise reasonable women fear they are "too big" or "too fat" when they are anything but.

18. It's not always logical...

I know I'm not overweight. I'm not big. I'm a 5'6", size 6. Logically, I know this is a fine size for me, and I'm healthier than I was when I was a size 2. But dammit, I look in the mirror, and I want to be a size 2 again. It's got nothing to do with what people personally around me say to me, but the feeling is still there. Sorry I can't help explain it, but just wanted to let you know that sometimes we know it is not logical or rational and we feel it anyway :(

I can't help it. I think it started with my first girlfriend in Jr. High. She was a gorgeous little Italian girl built like Kate Winslet.

I just don't see the big deal with a girl thats 80 pounds...Not that there's anything wrong with that!
