The tale of the leopard, the dog, and the monkey.
You may not know this, but leopards like eating domesticated dogs. You thought it was dogs that chase cats? Not in the jungle, it's not.
A clever dog that had gotten out of its yard was having a walk around, when he realized--he was being hunted. There was a leopard on the prowl, approaching low and slow, as cats are.
In an instant, the dog grabbed a bone from the ground and started gnawing at it--all the while feeling the stare of a big cat making the "prepare for killing pounce" approach. Then, he leaned back and said loudly, "MMM, that was a tasty leopard!"
Taken aback by this sudden, impossible turn of events, the leopard halted--was it indeed possible that this dog was a hunter, instead of prey? Confused, the leopard retreated--leaving a very relieved dog behind.
Well, there was a monkey in a nearby tree who saw the entire thing. Monkeys being monkeys, he caught up with the leopard to tell him how he had just been conned. Enraged, the leopard took the monkey on his back and raced back to the dog, intent on having his meal.
While it is difficult to spot the approach of a hunting leopard, it is nigh on impossible to miss an angry leopard with a screeching monkey on his back. Upon taking in this surreal scene, the dog once again turned his back to the charging leopard, put on an irritated expression, and shouted to the world,
"Now, where is that blasted monkey? I sent him out to get me another leopard HOURS AGO!"
