That's what I tell my dogs when it is pouring like it is now. They want to go out, but it is not happening! They know. They are fine. I saw it coming and sent them out (Bear! Bear! Squirrel! Squirrel!) an hour ago. Their job now is to keep me warm tonight. Their genes have tens of thousands of years of practice at that. If you doubt that, you have never had a dog snuggle, instictively, against your lower legs (coldest extremity) at night. It is a most natural thing. I do love these two boys: Nick-Nick and Sirius.
