| 3. I can't really agree with the inclusion of Hardee's on the list. |
|
If the Multinational Monitor list said Hardee's polluted more than other fast-food chains, treated their employees poorly, were more brutal to their cows, misrepresented their products as being healthy, etc., then, okay... but it seems the only complaint is that the food is bad for you. Well, we know that, and nobody's forcing anyone to eat there.

fast food joints. According to the article the problem they have with Hardee's is that their burger is too damn big. Well hell ,no one says you have to eat it in one setting, or by yourself for that matter. Now Taco Hell, that's totally different. No amount of moderation on the part of the consumer will keep that crap from being swill. I have to give them credit for one thing though. It's the best laxative around. Whenever I reluctantly eat their "stuff" (I hesitate to use the word 'food') I don't make any plans for about three hours later because I know I'll be very busy with several trips to the bathroom.

every year of its existence. It's revolting how its negligence has given it an economic edge over its more responsible competitors. That cable special was a real eye-opener. It's still the Gilded Age in Birmingham AL. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/workplace/mcwane/ Family's Profits, Wrung From Blood and Sweathttp://www.habermas.org/09pipebk02.htm
