| My mom, she's so cool, she likes Green Day... |
|
like a lot. She was always tolerant of them, but never really knew much about them other then my dad liked the song Basket Case when it came out.
But anyway she saw them on the Grammy's last night, and she liked the song America Idiot. So we bought the CD today, and she was reading lyrics, and now she loves them. hehehehehe
My mommy is cool! :7

my mom would think it was too hard, music-wise, and my dad would hate the anti-bush slant it has.

She heard them say "I'm not part of the redneck agenda" and she was like, "ooh! I like that!"

| 5. Okay, for the second time in a week, I think you |
|
must be my own daughter.
Didn't I JUST tell you the other day that I can't stop playing Green Day? Of course, I've liked them all along.
And I'm a bit younger than your mom. ;)

| 6. "Jesus of Suburbia" is absolute brilliance |
|
50's; 90's; 00's all wrapped in one with great, aggressive instrumentation and lyrical genius.

| 12. That is so cool of you to say. My own daughter would never admit |
|
here, or elsewhere that I am cool. Even though we like a lot of the same songs, and my last music purchase was Eminem's Encore.
You are a great daughter for acknowledging that in your mom. :hi:

I'm just saying the truth, she may act dorky or embarrassing at times, but she's pretty cool when you get right down to it. :D
I'm lucky to have my mommy.

and have an almost 14 year old. Used to be on the radio and stuff. When I first heard,"American Idiot," shortly before the election, I thought " the kids are all right." I put it on my answering machine for two months. Then realizing that I was no longer angry, I put on some Stravinsky, now I've got Tori Amos on there. My kid has a really strange mommy.
But we totally share in musical appreciation.

| 21. my mom is the american idiot, and she likes green day |
|
she liked nimrod, warning, and american idiot.
she is the typical no nothing bush supporter. she is completely ignorant about every single aspect ever. she admits it, that she pays no attention to the news or anything, and she is always embarrassed when me and my dad asks her who she voted for, and besides president, she has no idea.
yet she likes good music. got me into dylan.
