OMG Just got back from a Ray Lamontagne gig.

He's a short petite little dude but the enormity of soul and emotion that comes forth when he's on stage is INFUCKINGCREDIBLE !!!!

I spied him standing in the hallway checking out the opening act, so I asked very meekly and politely if he'd sign the photo I brought with me (an 8x11 of my sig line pic) and he graciously signed it ...
I looked later and he had drawn an arrow to himself on the pic and wrote 'what a fucking dork' then at the bottom he signed 'best, Ray'.

Not quite sure how to take that at first but then he got on stage wearing a bright orange t-shirt with the word 'JERK' on the front, so I'm guessing it was meant as self-deprecation.

Either way, the show was AWESOME and I'd recommend anyone who likes new music to check him out if he's in your area.

There was a gaggle of 20-something bimbo's up front who were much more aggressive than I could ever be ... so I just sat back with my liquor and enjoyed the evening.
