Yes, I dig Norah too. I really do. A lot of people think she's shit, but there's something about her stuff that vibes with me. Can't explain it.

12. Well, Like sundog says |
|
She played in the concert for George. That's where I heard most of her stuff. I have some of their father's cd's too (Ravi Shankar). I was just blown away by her performance in the CFG thing. She plays and directs an Indian band and it is about 25 minutes long.

She got her start with them and recently recorded a couple tunes on their latest album. Cool stuff.

14. How do you like Cold Cold Heart? |
|
She did that one on the "Come Away With Me" CD.
The long way home is sometimes the best way to go when you've got good tunes to listen to.

Her music matured, she sounds great, great songwriting...

6. I think that dismissing her as milquetoast is a mistake. |
|
She played for us in the office before her record came out, and she blew me away.

7. My 2.5 year old is sitting on my lap this moment... |
|
as we listen to "Don't Know Why".
For her it's the "wetter Y song" because Nora does a bit on Sesame Street where the lyrics are modified to "don't know why 'Y' didn't come" where she laments her inability to spell certain words because her friend, the letter "y", didn't show up.

I'm not surprised. Norah has a very sweet look about her. I can understand "Y" your daughter loves her.
