Yet another Boston thread

If you're going to be in the Boston area this weekend, please come see me, Squeech, play neo-psychedelic rock (plus just a taste of the real thing) at the Exploding Plastic Incredible show at SkyBar, at 518 Somerville Ave in (where else?) Somerville. (It's down the block from where Park Ave meets Somerville Ave, between the Chinese restaurant and the bicycle store.)

I'll be playing bass and singing with Tim Mungenast and his Pre-Existing Conditions, which will expand from our usual power trio configuration to four or five people on certain songs. There will be some sitar music from Mac Randall, who will also be sitting in with us on better guitar than I'll ever be able to play. There will be odd poetry with accompaniment by Astro Al. There will be instrumental rock of a vaguely acid flavor from Magonia, and jam band music from Meathawk. All this starting at roughly 8PM. (For those of you that just want to see me, we're on at about 9:30 :-) )

It's on the same side of Somerville Ave, but on the other side of Park.

And speaking of Park, there's generally a sufficient amount of on-street parking up and down both of the avenues. They warn you not to park in the Brooks lot; I don't know what the story is with that shuttered video rental place across the street.

One of the nicest things anyone has ever said about anything I've done musically was the woman that said of this other band I played in, "You guys make me want to get stoned again!" That was so sweet, and so apt for that particular band...
