I am having to send this crappy shorted out laptop back to Compaq so i can get a new one. This took four hours of demands, threats and long distance calls, but I am getting a new one for my trouble. The second time in less than a year that I have had a Compaq fry. I got this one in November. Thank god for Warranties.
My question is...Is there any way i can save my e-mails from Outlook Express and import them to the new computer? I have all of my documents and files backed up now down to my cookies, but I really would hate to lose my e-mails.

1. Open Outlook Express, and on the Tools menu, click Options. 2. On the Maintenance tab, click Store Folder. 3. Highlight the folder location, and then press CTRL+C to copy the location. 4. Click Cancel, and then click Cancel again to close the dialog box. 5. Click Start, and then click Run. 6. In the Open box, press CTRL+V, and then click OK. 7. Click anywhere in the open window, and press CTRL+A, then CTRL+C. 9. Create a new folder. Open the new folder, and press CTRL+V

save them into Word, and put the word file on a cd. If you want them in your mailbox, email them to yourself after you've made the cd.

I will be without a PC for about a week, but when I come back, I will hopefully have a machine that doesn't clonk out after 4 months!
