That could be a DU poll... which punctuation mark is your favorite?
And I would bet you some ZombyCoffee Espresso Roast that a flame war would break out.

I hope you're saying he'll be removed from office -- out via impeachment.
O yes please say that's what will happen.

I am of the School or Realism, which says a Repuke Congress and its compliant media would never allow that to happen.
And, I have never, nor will ever, call him "president".

|
...as John Prine sings.
How about yourself? Are you surrounded by irises? Reading banned novels? Going for lazy walks with big dogs or small children?
Those would be very good things to be doing, I think.
I hope you are thriving, no matter the circumstances.

Pets were in my family from my earliest memory and I can't remember any period of time without them (until college days when they weren't allowed in dorms).
Feed the two you have now a surprise dish of fresh fish -- just a little bit, but enough to give them a special treat.
Are you near Milwaukee? I was wondering what sort of city it is for progressives? Or is Madison the more progressive city in WI?

Don't worry - they've been spoiled plenty. :)
I live near Green Bay (30 mi.). Madison is about as left as they come, and is one of my all-time favorite cities. I don't know Milwaukee as well, but I have met the Milwaukee area DUers - and they totally rock.
Overall, I'd say WI is progressive (although there's been some backsliding). At least it ain't what I experienced in NC. (I moved back here, and found people far more welcoming of women ministers - in fact, around here, it really isn't an issue at all!)

| 24. Good, then. No reason women should not be ministers. |
|
Now if your counterparts over in the Catholic Church would agree that apostolic succession (is that the term?) is realized in the figure of Mary Magdalen, it would make life easier for many folks. Hell, they're short on priests but still tell half the population of the earth that their help isn't wanted. Makes no sense.
I'm not anti-Catholic. I just favor women in clergy on equal terms with men. All the Pope has to do is ring me up and I'll update 'im.
Now and again an article comes across the web about Russell Feingold. You sure do have a great senator there. Kohl's ok but Feingold's a favorite of many folks beyond WI's borders. Long may he run, either for pres. or for an extended Senate stay.

Me = Methodist = John Wesley (Anglican Priest) = Apostolic Succession.
The Catholics, Lutherans (WI Synod, MO Synod), and Fundies will eventually see the light - sadly, for most of them, that will be in the afterlife. :)
Russ is about the best senator to come out of WI since Proxmire. He votes his conscience, he schedules listening sessions in EVERY county in WI, and usually does the right thing - even if it's unpopular. Gotta love that man! :loveya:

| 26. 'am reading Umberto Eco's NAME OF THE ROSE these days. |
|
Wow, is it good. It's almost a history-of-the-Church text, or a history-of-institutional-Christianity text more than a novel, but the novel structure is pretty good, too.
'Liked your line, "sadly, for most of them, that will be in the afternlife." :)
'am going to give DU another couple minutes, then it's bedtime. I read a little of LORD OF THE FLIES to a cousin's wife and two younguns, then came home and posted some on DU.
I love running into you, RevCheesehead. I bet things are in good shape if people like you are in charge of them.
Carry on!
