Mine is (*gulp*...bracing for the shame...) Banquet salisbury steaks. x( Yes, the ones in the freezer section that contain god-only-knows what unpleasant discarded parts of any number of beasts.

I've been indulging on Friday nights as of late. I'm not talking about a couple. I'm talking about a whole stinkin' twelve pack. I pay the next day but it's so much fun when I'm drinking it that I have a hard time limiting myself. I guess at least it's just that one night.

| 13. I have no shame when it comes to food |
|
As evidenced by my frequent kitchen experimentation, including this morning's crumbled-up-uneaten-burger, jalapeno and cheese monster omelet.
I once got a foot-long sub at Subway, and chowed through the first half, then got really sick immediately afterwards. I puked about 30 seconds after the last bite. Barely made it to the bathroom. Then I felt so much better, I managed to convince myself that it couldn't have been that oh-so-tasty-looking sandwich that made me sick, and proceeded to ingest the second half of the damned thing for an immediate repeat performance. The basic point is I ain't none too smart with the "food goes here" thing.

I've kind of turned them into an art form. I used to eat them for dinner, back when I was living alone because they were cheap and filling, but as my personal economics improved (and then I remarried) I started tarting them up.
I leave the skins on (for fiber), boil the taters with a couple of peeled garlic cloves, and put Goya Adobo, onion powder, fresh black pepper, 1% milk and reduced-fat sharp cheddar in; also bacon bits (I use real ones, but you could use the other ones if you soaked them, I guess). And about a teaspoon of cumin powder.
In the summer, we also cut in fresh chives.
For holidays, I make them with full-fat everything, whole milk, sour cream and regular sharp cheddar. But for a week night comfort food binge, the reduced fat stuff works just fine.
Stuff I don't cook myself, Little Debbie Zebra Cakes. They're just plain evil and no account. I think Little Debbie is really the spawn of satan in a cute little hat.

So, as you might guess, I spend a lot of time weeping like a wee schoolgirl.
I've tried a few vegan cheeses... they suck. My roommate's girlfriend made a decent (but very strong) one the other day. I should get the recipe from her. Maybe I can make a good tortilla dip with it.

I have to admit, I have a major weakness for them, made only worse by the fact that I cant buy them where I live now, so whenever I go home to NJ I spend the first few days stuffing as many of them in my face as I can get my hands on! MMMMM.....
And hey, thanks for making me admit that......LOL.

It's such a tie.... I'm such a foodie.
1) Most of the White Castle Menu (so sue me.... midwestern children are just this way).
2) Turkish Delight (for those not in the know, it's a jellied sugar candy made of sugar and rose petals. Completely addictive.) and Marzipan, but not enrobed in chocolate - just the almond paste, thanks.
3) Reddens further.... Jennie O Turkey loaf - comes in the metal foil pan with gravy. I'm pretty sure it's nothing but ground turkey and fake gravy and "artificial and natural flavors" but it tastes like turkey to me....

Do they still sell it where you live? It would probably be in the same section as the Macaroni and Cheese, so I thought I'd ask. Do I sound like an addict, or what?!:D
