1. What kind?
Not that I would know much. My son started out in music on cello. He still occasionally plays his electric one.

2. Just a relative cheapo I found on eBay
But it's full-sized and solid wood. I haven't played for 27 years; we'll see if it all comes back! I hope it's like riding a bike.
