I broke a vow today--I used self-checkout at the supermarket..

I had only one item and the lines were long so I did something I promised myself I would never do.

I don't even pump my own gas,even if it costs me a little more.

Sheesh. I never use self-checkout either, because I see it as a means of cutting jobs. But going through the checkout once is nothing to beat yourself up over.

I work in a grocery store but that doesn't mean I think people should wait in line all day with one item when they can use a self checkout. You're off the hook as far as I'm concerned. But your confession has been duly filed and noted.
