A mouse ran in my bathroom--Ask me anything!

There I sat--doing some reading. I heard the cat thumping in the hallway. I look up just in time to see him follow a mouse into the bathroom...

All I had for personal defense was a magazine, a roll of toilet paper and a paper Dixie Cup.

After that excitement--go ahead--ask me anything!!!

7. I grabbed the DIxie cup and tried to catch him.

He dodged me both times (he was moving kind of slow--I think the cat been playing with him) and ran behind the toilet. Needless to say I was finished by that point...

I left the bathroom and closed the cat in with the mouse. It took a bit to get back in there, however, my husband couldn't quit laughing at me.

He caught the mouse and took it out to the backyard. I'm not terribly optimistic for the mouse, however. The cat had done a real number on him before we caught him...

9. It was one of those little bathroom cups...

You know what I mean--those little paper cups? It was not the biggest in the world and it was not too sturdy... I'm kinda glad i didn't get him to be honest.

5. I would have caught him in the Dixie cup

and taken him outside. A friend and I did this with a mouse at work, though we used a cardboard box and let him go outside in the woods. It was rather funny to see all my male coworkers standing on top of their desks while two girls dealt with the scary little mouse.:D

I did try and get him with my little paper bathroom cup, but he got away in behind the toilet where I couldn't get to him.

I thought I did well to try and catch him with that little cup--at least I didn't get up and run out the door with my pants down!

8. I had a mouse for a pet when I was in high school

He was black and white and I named him Franklin, after FDR. He was extremely cute. What color is yours and what is his name?:-)

And his name is Grover, after my favorite Sesame Street character. He loves to sleep in my shirt or bathrobe pockets; almost washed him in the laundry once, until i noticed my bathrobe moving on it own accord.:)

19. My daughter said she SAW him come in last night!!!

She was coming home and SAW this mouse run in the house when she opened the door!!! And she never even mentioned it!!! That animal was in my house overnight!!!

I'm moving. I swear to gawd!

My Franklin was the best pet. He used to get under my bedspread. I will never forget how he used to eat blueberries. He would pick the thing up in his front paws, turn it around and around, eating the skin off first, then he'd eat the inside. I miss him.:-(

12. I had a rat run through my living room

and I yelled to my Rottweiler to get it. Well, she just ignored it. Mean, mean Rottie most people think. But my doggie won't even chase a rat or a mouse.

Why waste all that energy on something you'll hardly taste. You just got too smart a rotty that's all.

Still, consider yourself lucky, the lab I had was stupid as can be, and chased all the critters. Everyone she caught was left as a present in my room somewhere, usually alive. Stupid dog...I miss her.

16. The cat is well pleased with himself!

He's the fearless hunter now. He's stalking round the house looking for new prey! Now bear in mind this guy is a fur covered meat loaf. He spreads when he sits down because his "love handles" settle.

We may never get his ego back to normal!

One of the few things my husband could say after I told him was it reminded him of that episode of Futurama when they all got busted by the police and they stood there in a line and shat bricks...

25. Silly cat....

Mine used to just kill them, if they got one. They wouldn't eat it. That was in Illinois -- now in Arizona they brind me lizards, but they kill them. I couldn't handle a live one.

My sister's cat eats the whole mouse. Yuck! And is very proud of herself afterwards.
