by Jean Auel. I haven't kept up with the series, tho. And it's been so long I need to re-figure which was the last one I read.

Really good books tho. A nice guilty pleasure.

24. Darryl Hanna played Ayla in the movie version.

It is just as powerful as the book version was IMHO.
I highly recommend renting the DVD : the Clan Of The Cave Bear.

The next book in the series was Mammoth Hunters. IMO it was ok but not as stellar as C.O.C.B. was. When the third book came out I got so frustrated with it that I threw it against the wall after reading only half. It was decidedly not my cup of tea.
