| 8. Sometimes, karmically speaking, |
|
a past life has consequences that pop up in present and future lives. Like, for example (and this is a way exaggerated example), a person hates black people, and perhaps was a KKK member. So, as a result, in this lifetime, he could very well be a black person who is being persecuted to balance out his past life.
Something simple as someone who hates cats might end up being rescued by a cat in his/her current life. Or someone who was a cop ends up a criminal.
But it is more often a matter of mental adjustment from one life to another. There is often no drastic change in a lifetime to the next. There is a whole process for people to learn if they have never been in the position to learn regression. It's not difficult, and I've done it with people in a group setting as well. Mostly, it's a matter of getting the mind to retreat to a state of mind similar to one of hypnosis. However, unlike hypnosis, one is quite in control in this particular state of mind, and can use the state of mind to go "back" to a previous existence and learn more about themselves as a result. It's an inward-pointing experience--get rid of external influences and allow the conscious mind access to the id, and be prepared to learn what is attainable at that level of thought.

| 6. Coming of age in the '60s. |

Nowadays, I teach meditation and do counseling and therapy, a direct outgrowth of the years when I first became aware that I could track the places where interactions intersect with each other and create places/ states of mind other than what was implied or pointed to in addition to what was being directly stated in the actions and accompanying thoughts and feelings. I've lived out several of my dreams from those days. I've was a Buddhist monk and lived in India. In India, I even stayed in a room opening into a long standing Shiva courtyard at the top of red sandstone steps leading down into the Ganges river, south of town hopefully beyond the reach of the effulgents that were making their way out into the Indian Ocean. I also lived in Darjeeling with Tibetans and Brahmans. I remember one afternoon, I was in a radio shop on the main stem and the owner invited me to have a coconut drink with him. His wife had mixed his drink of coconut milk, sugar, salt and black pepper. Similarly, later, when I was living in Thailand, for a nickle I'd buy a quarter of a large sliced pineapple which I had covered with either salt, sugar or/and red pepper.
From there, I further manifested other of my ideals of taking care of others by graduating with multiple degrees and certifications from the flagship school in my state for teaching. I'm certified to supervise and "teach" newborns, infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and elementary education. I'm a school principal although I no longer do that.
I continue doing what I can to be flexible in/ with the world, being in balance as best as I can, sometimes adding more to the situation I'm in and, for the rest of the time, staying out of the way as much as possible.

I was a soldier in the Vietnam War but I'm not sure what side. I seem to have been affected by my past experience.
