...got, er, "worked up" when she was younger by waiting at one end of the pool in the lap lanes, then dodging out of the way at the last minute when someone swam up.

2. Someone I know filled a jumbo mylar balloon with acetylene and oxygen...

and then attached a long fuse to it, and lit the fuse. The balloon floated over a lake, and then it detonated and rattled windows and set off house and car alarms for miles.

Deputies all over that area of the county were searching for the explosion. The culprit was never apprehended. (And it was not me, but I was a witness.)

Some kids in Southbridge did it over the river dam, and the explosion shook houses about a mile away. It was a garbage bag filled with acetylene and oxygen, and they just dropped it off the side.
