While I thought the silent treatment went out in middle school, it's apparently all the rage. My friend asked to join her and another friend for dinner the other night. Important to note, I wasn't really involved in the initial planning, more of the "if you make, make it" after the plans were set. I let her know that I would have to wait and see how my day at work went. Well I ended up getting out of work a little later than I would have liked, so I called on the way home and left a message letting her know I wouldn't make it. I also followed up with an email. Since then, nada. Calls may take longer to return, but I usually get an email daily.
So what do you think, full fledged silent treatment? Should I break the silence with another call or email or let her stew?
