Is the lounge becoming snobbier?

I've been noticing fewer new names in the lounge and lot's of posts with no replies.Has the Clique tightened while I wasn't looking?

46. This reminds me of an event from high school.

A bunch of us were sitting around a table, when across the room, someone else made a comment about "that group over there that thinks they're so cool."

I was shocked, confused (because I thought she was a friend), and then angry. I just blurted out a reply to her (which I am reminded of, tonight, for some reason):

"Listen, let me tell you about our group. When we first got here, we were NOBODY. We didn't fit in anywhere else, and eventually we found each other. We've never excluded anyone, or tossed anyone out. And please - we are not a clique. We're just a bunch of lonely losers who happened to find one another. Now, you're welcome to stay and join us, or leave us alone. But don't go calling us something we're not, because I won't put up with that."

**In high school, I was painfully shy and rarely expressed my opinions. Seriously. (now stop laughing at me, because I'm still insecure at times.)

We all have people we've become friendly with and in-jokes and such. That can leave people feeling left out. But I've found that if you are friendly and post a lot so people can get to know you, most everyone is willing to include you in their cliques.
