We're going to be appearing at Martyr's in Chicago (near the intersection of Lincoln and Damen) as part of their "Twang-off" series. We're called the Haywood Yards and this is our site: www.haywoodyards.com. If any of youze DUers are interested in seeing some fine, fine electric bluegrass folk rock, come on down.
We should hit the stage (with terrible velocity) around 9:30 or so.

I hate working at night. My job is at night so getting time off for gigs is like pulling teeth out through the nostrils.

7. It's no good, I know. I work one job in the day, another one at night |
|
but luckily I have nothing I need to take off for--just things I'd like to take off for. The boy has the joy of working early in the morning so once in a while he has to play a show, drive back and go straight to work. (Or work on an hour or two of sleep). He lucked out though as most of the people he works with are friends and they trade shifts pretty easily.

6. I can't wait for the day when we move back into the city..... |
|
And I can answer these kinds of questions with an emphatic "YES!!!".
Until then, I'll just try and deal with my drab suburban existence.

Well...it's okay. You'll just have to pretend that you saw us in some dingy club way back when to impress your friends. Shucks!

And alack!
Enjoy dinner in Oak Park; I saw the Frank Lloyd Wright houses this spring for the first time and was absolutely blown away. Nice area.
