The little Chinese restaurant offers a discount if you pay cash or a free item if your order is over $20 bucks for delivery.
I usually pick up, because I pay with my debit card. The mom of this 'mom & pop' establishment always gives me the free item when I pick up, because I'm not receiving the cash discount...did I also mention I'm a regular customer.
The staff person tonight wouldn't do it. So I paid for my food and gave them my address. Now I get the free item because they are delivering. I was perfectly willing to schlep my own food home, but WHATEVER.
