35. I recently watched Remember The Titans for the first time...

I had just graduated from one of the schools which merged with TC Williams the following year and knew Coach Yost way back when.

Ha, when they made us take square dancing for PE, we had to dance with the coaches. Sheesh

It was freaky watching RTT, especially since I did not know beforehand that Gary Bertier was one of the characters in the movie. Gary had been a friend of mine.

It was surreal to be sure.

Yeah I know it's not really a comedy... but it is!

Sissy Spacek's suicide - hysterical. When Sissy and Diane Keaton try to tell Jessica Lange that Old Grandaddy had another stroke... only they can't quit laughing about it...

It's pretty dark. But it reminds me that there is humour in everything and there are people who know and love you - in spite of everything.

Although what always gets me is Mama hanging that old yella cat. Because she couldn't face death alone.

because I grew up in Bay Ridge, and it's like a mini-tour back home and back to my youth. I even went to the infamous 2001 disco once... I can't help but smile and feel nostalgic as I see the stores on 86th Street, my subway station and newsstand, restaurants long gone (Fisherman's Corner) - it's like a late 70s Bay Ridge Travelogue for me.

Also can watch any Christopher Guest movie anytime for a good laugh.

Boy-o-boy was Freddie Bartholomew's character a lil' shit! But at the end it had all turned around. Thanks to befriending Spencer Tracy and finallly having him stand in for his absent father(by circumstance and in actuality pre-adventure)

That's almost Captains Courageous in reverse. Hugh Grant's character is a total
shit, and by way of befriending the aforementioned boy, turns it all around.
