2. I don't think I'll ever go back to a desktop--

laptops are a gift from god (aka, the aliens I mentioned in another post a few minutes ago).

I can sit in bed and type away, or sit in my living room watching a movie with my daughter, or watch dvds in the bathtub (yes, I really do this--I put the computer on this crate next to the tub--it's beyond awesome).

Desktops are a pain in the arse.

3. If I have to do some serious work (graphics)

I'm on my desk top with the big screen and the trackball. Just to play or check in to DU, I'm in the living room with the iBook. LOVE the iBook.

but I use to love laptops, because I was always on the go, and traveling a lot. But since i've been married, and settled down for a bit, the desk top is so much better. I can add a lot more memory, have all my music on my back up harddrive, its a whole lot faster, and easier to upgrade....but, thats just me...I like laptops for convience, but the desktop is it for me, :)

using a laptop reduces my 125 per minute typing speed probably by half, how do people stand it? i don't like miniature things when i'm trying to DO something
