Not the best film ever--mostly narrative voiceover--but very, very troubling, on an intellectual, political level...

Really fucked up...

1. Even more disturbing that it is based on the life of a real...

illegal arms trader, forgot his name, but a Ukrainian-American just like the character in the movie.

It's really troubling... especially because he's right (the main character)--there is no way to stop it.

3. Even more fucked up when you know that these types of people...

are "independent contractors" for our own government, off the books, and under the table deals to create chaos and death.

And not only is that true, but the US gov't also gives and sells this shit to people who later become our enemies... and then they use the guns to kill our soldiers...

I am so pissed... not because I didn't already know these things, but because now they are in the forefront of my mind...

7. The sickest thing is the fact that...

The movie shows some of the worst of the human condition, and the only thing we can call uniquely human. Will it ever change, or will the 21st Century beat the 20th at being the bloodiest and deadliest in human history? The answer is already here, 6 years into it and we are already at war on two fronts and beginning a third, doesn't bode well for the human race, and the reflection is ugly.
