| Poll question: Should Raygun be put on the $2.00 bill? |
|
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 04:02 AM by corarose
Once in a great while I will get a $2.00 bill back as change and I save it.
They were used back in the late 70's and I vote that we place Raygun on the $2.00 dollar bill.

and it should remain unprinted. Reagan was despot... on a massive scale. I will dance in the streets with a belly full of guiness when he dies. DIES. Fuck him.

The irony of it is lovely, since Raygun allowed the AIDS crisis to continue, harming many members of the GLBT community. (Don't know if this is a regional thing or not, but in this part of the country gays are often insulted by comparing them to a 3-dollar bill). So, I think creating 3 dollar bills and putting Raygun's face on them would be lovely.

| 17. You mean Reagan had found a cure?! (j/k) But, seriously: |
|
A $3 would be appropriate as the idea of a $3 bill, much as the $2 bill that WAS minted, is ill-conceived and insane. Just like the man whose face would be printed on it.
All the repukes are nuts because of the amount of time and money they are wasting. The party of fiscal responsibility? How can the american people still believe that grossly incorrect catchphrase?!

not help sell the idea of their "great president" on such a bill.

| 8. Heck no! US $2 bills are fine as they are! |
|
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 04:59 AM by Interrobang
My fiance used to live in Atlantic City (apparently about the only place where they're in usual circulation in the US), and every year when he goes to Pennsic (a big Society for Creative Anachronism event in Pennsylvania), he brings a roll of $2 bills and several rolls of dollar coins (and sells some to me!). I like the US $2 bill. Personally, I wouldn't put Reagan's face on anything except a Wanted poster, and it's kind of too late for that, since his mentis is non compos...
Counter question: Why don't you guys use your nice dollar coins? I especially like those Sacajawea dollars; they look a bit like loonies (Ameroloonies!)... When will the US stop printing dollar bills and make the switchover? Dollar coins will never succeed (anywhere) unless they just start taking the bills out of circulation.

support a constitutional ammendment to rename the entire country as " The United States of Reagan". Maybe that would once and for all stop the Republicons from naming everything under the sun for that miserable excuse for a human being. A freakin' criminal, and they love the guy.

The 2 dollar bill is still made occasionally, I've gotten 1999 versions. This dollar coin thing didn't work with the sacajawea dollar, maybe it can work with reagan.
